Methodology & Inspiration

During the 2019 NCAA Basketball Season, I had the honor of working with my Alma Mater, The College of Wooster, in creating a branded theme for both the Men's and Women's Basketball team.

With a newly-remodeled Timken Gymnasium sporting a brand-new video board system, my goal was to mix the heritage and commitment to excellence held by the school with the blue-collar grit displayed by the storied community.

​For inspiration, I used a mix of the school's famous tartan texture with a distressed background to highlight to hard-working attitude held by the institution. I also relied on clean lines, vibrant colors, and serif fonts to pay homage to the historic roots of the college.
